Other Workplace Training

As employment lawyers, we assist our clients in the development of respect at work, harassment, and anti-discrimination policies and training programs.  We have worked closely with clients who have operations in Ontario to help bring their harassment policies in line with Bill 168 and we have developed training programs in satisfaction of these legislative requirements. We have also worked with clients across Canada to develop and deliver training programs that meet legislative and policy-driven requirements relating to their region.

We provide statutory compliance training with respect to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Bill 168, human rights issues, and occupational health and safety.

We are also available to create, or to review and make changes to your existing policies, in the following areas:

  • Bill 168
  • AODA
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Respect at work
  • Harassment and violence
  • Discrimination
  • Accommodation
  • Overtime and hours of work
  • Social media
  • Respectful use of technology/internet use
  • Privacy policies
  • Vacation policies

Once your policy is in place, we can train staff at all levels on your policies to ensure compliance. Before we begin, we’ll sit down with you to understand your needs and tailor a program to meet them. Want us to come to your office? We can do that. Want us to train a whole department or work group? We can do that. Would you prefer that we host the course online or through a teleseminar? We can do that too.

Our training programs have been designed by experts in employment law and developed specifically for human resources professionals and managers. Whether you’re looking to meet your legal obligations in employee training or to be proactive to avoid problems down the line, our customized programs will raise your understanding of potential employment law issues and give you the skills you need to apply that knowledge to your own workplace.

All of our programs are interactive, engaging and practical. They will be delivered in a way that engages the audience, addresses different learning styles, and makes sometimes complicated legal concepts easy to understand.
